Goddamn us all with script-language, object oriented programming. F
that, give me assembler-language, raster based programming of the Atari.
Yars Revenge and Pitfall were a masterpiece of 6502 assembler
programming.
I had a VERY interesting evening, with Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark for the Atari 2600....
What can I say... what fun that was, seriously, dad and daughter with
this freaking game. We both agreed this was a VERY advanced game for its time.
More advanced than Swordquest. Oh man thats whats "missing". Games that eitheryou *needed* the manual or you were lost. Exploring meant many
hours of dying.

Yeah that's an impressive 2600 game for sure! Another one with a similar scaleof adventure/inventory is Riddle Of The Sphinx by IMAGIC.
Come on, ET is what it's at.

Pressure Cooker
Beamrider
Empire Strikes Back
Pitfall II
Missile Command
Phoenix/Demon Attack (these two are so similar but still great)
Atlantis
