Okay, running DBRIDGE for the past 2 weeks, I found it produces 20+ files throughout a day - each of these "DROP FILES" as I call them, are more than simple BSO flag files. So, I am introducing the following (open for input!)...
SESSION.NOW
SESSION.LAST
SESSIONS.TODAY
SESSIONS.YESTERDAY
POLLING.NOW
POLLED.LAST
POLLED.TODAY
POLLED.YESTERDAY
* I am trying to have intuitive names, going outside 8.3 naming convestion as that is truly "So 80's". The challenge is Rhenium is highly multithreaded, so during a peak interval I could have 5+ incoming sessions, relaying mail to downlinks, I could end up with 10+ outgoing polls. So, I could incorporate in the path or filename a TID (ThreadID) or the port # from the caller and port # from the outbound so they would be unique.
Anyone have thoughts if you were going to use this information some how in our BBS - what would make your life easier, but your details accurate? I do not want to use random or uuid, as then they mean nothing.
Thanks for any input!
