    Hello, Stas

If I am understanding this correctly, my idea is kind of what you are doing already.

But theoretically, let's say I setup a BBS. Bare minimum, echo only type. I know in Fidonet private nodes aren't really liked. At least in Z1. But let's say I have one.

Could it be possible to use your gateway to mirror all of the echoes for whatever networks I am in, where all of the users of my BBS are strictly through the Telegram Groups?
Would it mean a separate bot for each group/echo? Or each Network? Or does a single bot handle the whole thing?

Another question. I've noticed the subject line on messages coming from Telegram tend to be the first line typed. Is there a way for them to keep the original subject line, if they are replies to the Fido messages for example?

Looking forward to that anwser too.

I note that our Fidonet subjects are getting *into* Telegram
    as a pseudo header:

    Fido2telebot
    --From: FN LN z:nnn/nnn.p--
    --Subj: something--

So.. I wonder too why can't the gate rebuild/copy the same
Subj that it finds in the body of the message if we do a
straight R)eply and don't add a new --Subj: something-- of our
    own?

I am sure Stas' head is spinning the gears for a solution. ;)

    One is enough.

Yes. In replies to messages from Fido, the subject is preserved. In new messages from Telegrams, you need to specify the subject in the form:
    --Subj: Subject of the mrssage--
otherwise, the first forty characters of the message will be taken as the subject.

Subj is inherited if you reply to a message. It can also be changed manually.

I stand corrected! The Subj inheritance is working very nicely.
