try to resist the urge of having 100 msg networks and 1,000 doorgames.

your bbs will be more enjoyable for everyone if you just keep it focused.

What happened to Stepping Stone, BTW?

I upgraded my ISP and had to move it to a virtual server because my
current setup won't allow port forwarding so I'm not able to run any
of my BBSes on my personal computer.

The reason I upgraded is because my current ISP is an amenity to me
from my land lord free of charge and a current speed of 1Gbit/sec up/downstream. Another reason, my previous ISP was raised the price
for internet. It was either pay more for a slow service or get a
free connection free of charge and move my BBS to a vServer.

I'll see if I can get Tradewars 2002 working on Linux, however, the
newer kernels of linux has issues with DOSEMU, a dos emulator to
    run the door game.

If anyone has a suggestion on to how I can get TW2002 to work with
DOSEMU on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (64-bit), thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,
    Jon Justvig

Free gigabit internet both ways seems like a pretty good deal.

DOSEMU on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (64-bit), thanks in advance.

I set up a Virtualbox instance of an older version of debian (actually devuan) that is cli only and is just old enough to have the proper version of
dosemu and the kernal to allow TW2002 to work. As best as I can tell, you
also have to run the BBS on that Virtualbox instance (unless you are setting
    up TWGS, maybe?).

I tried different ways and that was the only way I could get it to work.

I am using Devuan Jessie and dosemu 1.4.0.7+201301 under Virtualbox 5 on an Ubuntu 18.04.4 box.
